Hawaiian Taxi

We
stumbled off our ten hour flight to Honolulu with worries
that we would not find a taxi to Waikiki, thanks to the
warnings of previous travellers at home. No taxis. That's
true. We found a limo. Many of the taxis at Honolulu airport
are actually old limos. We crawled into a roomy stretch
limousine with plush seats, a mini bar and plenty of leg
room. The driver had decorated the window sills with little
silk flower bouquets and a stuffed white shitzu. Around
the edges of the ceiling, little Christmas fairy lights
twinkled in honor of Christmas. Cost: $22.00, cheaper than
an airport shuttle at $14.00 per person for the four of
us.
